| A late yet hearty wish for a
Happy New Year! The extreme winter weather
of the past weeks demands our attention in the early
grades.
We are building a “winter vocabulary”
with special focus on weather terms and names of warm
clothing. (Of course, the topic of clothes will be
revisited at Carnival time as well as in the spring
when we can finally shed all our heavy winter wear.)
In the upper grades, we are starting new projects
that can accommodate and support progress in all the
various levels of English competency in the class.
In group 7, we are working hard on asking good questions
and hope to create interesting survey and interview
questions.
In group 8, we will hopefully “publish”
a newspaper.
As always, I am impressed with the enthusiasm the
children demonstrate through projects.
